A Case of Chyleus Ascites

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of chylous ascites of a newborn baby is presented. he was delivered with difficulty because of fetal ascites with abdominal enlargement. from a mother with polyhydroamnios. Analysis of ascitic fluid revealed out chyle as shown in Table 1.
Repeated paracentesis and fat free diet was given during 2 months of hospitalization. Though he feels good, the growth is markedly retarded and chylous ascites continued. Review of literatures were discussed briefly.
